Background

Visualizing and reimagining spaces has been Sarah’s interest for as long as she can remember. Her career has been driven by a love for all things home design and a passion for helping people identify and actualize their sense of style. To be true to those passions five years ago Sarah left the IT world and enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Now, fully entrenched in residential design, she thrives on coaching clients through making decisions that increase their home’s value and make them proud to live there.

Finding out how clients use their home and how they want to feel when they’re there allows her to tailor each design to client’s unique goals. To accomplish this, Sarah draws on a deep reservoir of architectural knowledge to navigate the puzzle of the design process, with components such as personal taste, current trends, functionality, longevity, and practicality all playing a role. Her goal is to weave a personalized aesthetic theme that compliments the structural design throughout the home, offering, in a way, a canvas client can make their own. When Sarah’s clients are as excited about her vision for their home as she is, she knows their collaboration will result in a home the clients and Blue Star will be proud of. Watching the joy in a client’s face as they realize their home is a reflection of all of their conversations and dreams makes her look forward to coming to work every day.
